About Our Obelisks and Plant Supports Our own designed obelisks which we have been selling successfully at garden shows for many years, are now offered to you mail order. Buy one or buy several - they look equally elegant either on their own or grouped together to create a special feature in the garden and add a focal point. Our photograph does not do them justice, but if you are one of the past customers, we would love you to send us your photos. The 4ft obelisks are constructed of solid 8mm steel with a twisted effect. They are available in their natural state (allowing them to go rusty- the latest trend in gardening) or powder coated in black. Climbing plants cling easily to the twisted effect. Obelisks are ideal for growing clematis, sweet peas, climbing roses, in fact anything that climbs. They push directly into the soil, or can be used in a pot or container.
